hotels in Paris

When we first stayed with the kids in Paris in December 2013, they were aged 2,5 y., 4 y.  and 5 y.

We stayed at the Hotel Eiffel Seine, as we wanted to be close to the Eiffel Tower, and indeed it's just a few minutes walk.

Unfortunately this hotel was not directly reachable by a metro or bus line, so we took a cab twice, once in the evening to return from Champs Elysées, and once to drive to Notre -Dame, and you would be surpised how cheap caps in fact are in Paris.

The hotel was nice, friendly staff and spacious rooms.

We had booked two rooms with connecting doors and an additional bed. All was set up upon arrival, and we had in fact two adjacent rooms with a small private corridor.

Breakfast room was in the basement, but ok. Breakfast buffet was 16,00 € p.p. but I had managed to arrange free breakfast for the kids.

Another hotel we have been to is Hotel La Manufacture

It's in a very good location, easy reachable by metro and just one minute from Place d'Italie, 13e arron.

You can easily walk from the hotel to the Seine, Notre Dame or Louvre. You'll pass by the Rue Mouffetard, see the Sorbonne and Panthéon, and even the 'Jardin de Luxembourg' and quartier St Germain.

Or if you walk north east direction Gare d'Austerlitz, you'll be at the Jardin des Plantes and its museums in less than 15 minutes.

Great room, great breakfast, great staff....

Nearly perfect, except for the bunch of Italian people staying on the same floor and behaving worse than infants up from half past 6 in the morning. You could hear them run in the corridor, slamming doors and talking very loudly from one room door to another...unfortunately, my room was somewhere in between.

I left them a note on the floor in Italian, telling them they'd not been the only guests in the hotel and asking them to behave.....they found my note,  and after the next door slammed all remained quiet.

The hotel is not to blame for their guests behavior.

This hotel sometimes has great last minute rates, please check their website.

In January 2015 we stayed in Hotel Hor, located between Gare du Nord and Gare de l'Est.

As we did arrive at Gare de l'Est this was the most convenient place to stay at. Only 5 minutes from the station so that we could leave the luggage there until

There are plenty of hotel all around, difficult to choose, but we were lucky again, it proofed to be an excellent choice again.

We had two double rooms with connecting doors, reasonable spacious and stylish. Breakfast buffet was good, and staff again very friendly and helpful. Our rooms were not noisy and facing the small backyard.
