Whether you are a fan of medieval times yourself or whether
you're looking to spend a nice day with your kids,
you will probably enjoy the medieval festival in Useldange.
The village of Useldange is located in west Luxemburg, about 30 km from the capital and 40 km from our home.
The medieval festival is an absolute funny and amazing place to go with numerous things to discover, see and do for the kids.
It's held each year on the first or second weekend of June and 2016 has been already the 10th edition.
So Middle Ages return to the surroundings of the ancient castle (dating back to 1100 A.D.) by a camp being settled, musicians playing on different locations and jugglers, magnificent fairies and other strange characters to be seen.
There's also a medieval market with food and beverages, but also leather goods, ancient jewelry, wooden toys, a.s.o.
The Knight's camp and the show fights are eventually the most amazing to discover, but the demonstrations of old craftsmanship are really interesting too.
Of course you'd also have to conquer the castle and it's tower.
If weather's good, you can easily spend an afternoon, even a day here with your family, enjoy the and some of many medieval delicacies offered.
