Obviously this was a great week, because it only took me six days to finish the book, which is not obvious with husband and kids, daily household chores and other obligations, a dog and two horses and much more.
Must have been a good book too though !

When I started reading the book, I immediately liked it
and was impatient to read more and more.
I googled the author Scaachi Koul, as I had never heard of
her before seeing her book on amazon.
Scaachi Koul is a 26 year old (born 1991) Canadian
cultural writer and daughter of Indian immigrants (which is not as important to me than to her!).

The book is classified as 'essays/literary criticism/humor' and some chapters definetely are hilarious and made me laugh out loud
on serveral occasions. Then again, other chapters of the book treat serious topics like racism, death threats an rape culture.
Writing about such controversial topics in one book seemed a bit strange and was irritating at some point, but it's making sense as it's
called ESSAYS and as everything she's writing about is being part of her life and she writes about it with thoughtful honesty.
I thought it was a bit annoying though her pushing too much on the brown girl / white girl stuff ! I'm white female but never acted
like white females described in her book and as I'm 15 year her senior and Mother of three I just put that in the category 'let her grow a bit older and wiser and we'll talk about it again'. On
the other hand, I never had to experience racism, so who am I to judge?

I had bought this book mainly because of the meaningful title, and though it did not exactly fill those expectations of being a profound
book leading to higher grounds (which I might have expected) it definetely was a great debut by Scaachi Koul.
'ODWWABDANOTWM' was interesting, funny, honest and nevertheless reflective.
Great book to be recommended and I hope there'll be more to come by Scaachi Koul!
